PAB Student Representative
Purpose: Create connection, communication and collaboration between PAB and the performing arts student body we serve.
Peyton Kirkner - Choral/Vocal Arts
Hi, my name is Peyton Kirkner! I am a Junior and I'm so excited to be your Choral Performing Arts Board Student Representative this year! I absolutely love choir, and I am a huge theatre lover! I am currently the Soprano 1 Section Leader in Chamber Choir and in the Vocal Conservatory. I am also the Thespian Club Treasurer, in Actors Rep, and part of the Musical Theatre Conservatory. My mom is the VP of Choir for the PAB, so she really inspires me to be a responsible leader! I hope that this year will be amazing, and that the whole Performing Arts section of SJHHS is happy and fulfilled by the end of the year! Go Stallions!!!
Julia Kowalski - Dance
Hi! I am Julia Kowalski, a current senior at SJHHS. This is my fourth year on the San Juan Hills Advanced Dance Team and for the 2021-2022 season I am honored to be an Advanced Dance Captain. At San Juan Hills, I am involved in the Advanced Dance Team, BRIDGES, CSF, NHS, Halo Club. Outside of school, I am an Ambassador Gold Award winning Girl Scout, an avid volunteer with Safe Families foster kids, a part-time Starbucks Barista, and help lead the RTwelve Women of Ladera Ranch Service Group chapter. I am an avid coffee lover, music listener, sneaker head, poetry fanatic, and frequent my local gym almost every day. In the next year, I hope to attend at a 4 year University and study Biochemistry. Post college, I hope to attend Law School or the FBI Academy.
My best high school memories have been from the San Juan Hills Dance Team. The performing arts department makes a school of almost 3,000 students feel small and connected. The connections, relationships, and life-long friendships you form are priceless. From dancing in pep rallies to performing a full weekend of shows the Dance Team makes school fun! It is the perfect way to get involved and get connected.
Alexa Roemer - Theatre Arts
Hi! I’m Alexa Roemer and I am one of the Student Representatives for the 2021-22 school year! I love theatre, and it has been a passion of mine my whole life. All of my family is musically inclined, so I have always felt like I was meant to be on stage. I transferred to San Juan Hills my Sophomore year because of the reputation of this school and the theatre department. I was very nervous to start a brand new school during distance learning, but it didn’t take me long to realize how welcoming everyone in the theatre department was. After a year of being here, I absolutely love it. I am a part of the cast of Pride and Prejudice, and I am looking forward to that and all of the other shows to come. This year, I am also taking on Actor's Rep, Choir, a Thespian Cabinet position, and the Musical Theatre and Vocal Conservatories. So you can see, I like to surround myself with theatre as much as possible, and I definitely get plenty of opportunity at San Juan Hills. As a Representative, I would like to assist in the connection between the Performing Arts Booster and the students involved with SJHHS’s theatre department. I am so excited to take on this position and represent my fellow peers.
